I’m a native Montanan who enjoys the beauty of the scenic scapes of “The Treasure State”.  Born on the “Hi-Line” I have enjoyed the prairies and the flat lands that this beautiful state offers.  I attended college in Glendive which offered me the opportunity to experience the badlands and wide open spaces of Eastern Montana.  I now live in Billings where I enjoy all the landscapes, along with the mountains.
I have been a hobbyist photographer since 1977.  I converted from traditional film and dark room printing to digital photography in 2003.  This allowed me to have my “dark room” on my computer and enjoy the many artistic aspects of photography.  My favorite shooting subjects are landscapes with western appeal.  I refer it as “wrangling the light”.
I’m currently a member of the Professional photographer’s of America, Montana Professional Photographers Association and the Billings Camera Club.
In April of 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014,  I was recognized for the accomplishments in the field of photography and awarded a certificated for Montana “top Ten” Photographer by the Montana Professional Photographer’s Association.
In March of 2015 I became a Certified Professional Photgrapher through the Profession Photographer’s of America.
In April of 2015 I received the Montana Photographer of The Year award from MPPA.
In January of 2017 I received my Master of Photography Degree from the Professional Photographer’s of America.
In April of 2017,  2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and March of 2023,  I was awarded one of  “Montana’s Master Top Five Photographers” through the MPPA.
I served on the board of directors for MPPA for several year and as President from 2016-2017.
In 2014 and 2019 I was selected as a contender to represent the United States Of America in the World Photographic Cup which would be comparable to the “Olympics of Photography”.
In January of 2020 I received my Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographer’s of America.
In March 2022 I became FAA Part 107 licensed to fly my drone commercially.
